KINOVARTA - Distribution project for Ukrainian films in the Czech Republic

kinovarta_logo_white.png

We are a young distribution project with focus on contemporary Ukrainian cinema.

Our project was born in early 2024 – with the KINOWAR charity screening on the anniversary of the invasion.

DISTRIBUTION

We are a non-standard cinema distribution. We have some insight into Ukrainian cinema production and an understanding of the moods of the Ukrainian minority. At the same time, we are building our audience, we have active social networks and we support most screenings with advertising through our networks and communication with local Ukrainian associations. During premiere or charity screenings, we create cultural accompaniment to the event such as debates with guests, authors, etc.

CHARITY SCREENING

KINOWAR is not just about unique films that the average viewer won't see, it's not just about fundraising - it's about a community highlighting the debate about the aggressive invasion in Ukraine and russia's equally aggressive information and political interventions across Europe. It's a communication platform, it's a call to action to defend freedom of speech, democracy.

FILMS

We collaborate with local festivals and film clubs, offering films from our distribution catalogue. Our goal is to make Ukrainian cinema accessible to a wider audience and to promote Ukrainian culture beyond the Ukrainian community.
